Mayor favours City Air Cleaners for NO2 reduction
Urban air filtration systems like the one from Purevento are still planned as a part of the Schleswig-Holstein State capital’s Clean Air Plan after the successfully completed test phase earlier this year. The Lord Mayor of the City of Kiel, Dr. Ulf Kämpfer, has informed the Schleswig-Holstein Ministry for Energy Transition, Agriculture, Environment, Nature and Digitalisation (MELUND) of this in a statement on the draft update of the Clean Air Plan.
The tests with the prototype on site at Theodor-Heuss-Ring were carried out under official observation together with the State Office for Agriculture, Environment and Rural Areas (LÜSH) of Schleswig-Holstein. “They have shown that our system demonstrably works,” Robert Krüger, managing director and founder of Purevento, is pleased to say.
