Lord Mayor inaugurates outdoor air filtration plant
Kiel’s Lord Mayor Dr. Ulf Kämpfer (on the right) inaugurates Purevento’s new outdoor air filtration system today. Robert Krüger, managing director and founder of the pioneer in technical outdoor air purification, hands over the City Air Cleaner system on schedule, even though traffic on the Theodor-Heuss-Ring is not yet flowing on all lanes again. After a successful one-week trial run, both will officially put the air filter system consisting of six City Air Cleaners into operation at noon on the occasion of a press event on site. From then on, the NO2 pollutant load of the ambient air at the official measuring station on the Theodor-Heuss-Ring will decrease on average.
The Lord Mayor is convinced that the air filtration system will bring about a significant improvement:
“The City Air Cleaners are better than any driving bans, which would lead to congestion and alternative traffic in other, more populated streets and more air pollution overall.”
“I am pleased that from now on we can make an active and measurable contribution to the local air quality management of the city of Kiel at the Theodor-Heuss-Ring with our air purification system,” says Robert Krüger.
